Waste Management
Waste refers to any substance discarded by the owner after use.
The handling, storage and disposal of waste products must be handled by a qualified person and must not have any negative impact on the air, water and soil and must be handled with a lot of care so as not to cause harm of any form to the environment, employees or the society at large.
I) Old Tires and batteries are segregated and sent for recycling and shall not be damped on landfills
II) Used oils and other automotive fluids must be collected at one point for either recycling or dumping by authorized personnel.
III) Recycling of all waste materials should be preferred over waste disposal on landfills.
IV) The company shall adopt measures to reduce waste material throughout its supply chain.
It is fundamental to use proper personal protective equipment while handling hazardous waste, hazardous waste must be kept away from other waste so as to avoid contact with employees and or general public
Use of water
Water supports all forms of life; therefore, employees should not compromise the quality of water in any way. Water must be used carefully and economically in all processes, where possible water should be recycled and reused in ways that conserve this important resource without compromising its quality
